The vast ex-factory space that is the Turbine hall at Tate modern was a very impressive setting. We managed to bag some press seats, front row centre stylie, which was nice !
Along with his usual close-knit group of professional dancers there were 48 untrained members of the public who played out a militarised display of mass-choreography while the pro's weaved in and out. The sound track to all of this was supplied by the likes of Kraftwerk and Funkadelic, plus plenty of 70's Bowie tracks such as - Sweet Thing, Future Legend, Aladdin Sane and The Jean Genie.
Here are the snaps...
During the interval, while everyone else went off to form - a very long line - to buy a drink, we shifted off into the empty and unlit interior of the Tate.
Have you ever noticed this elevator before ?... of course not, it's usually covered in people !
